Our first installment of "Feed a Kid" kicked off on Monday evening. We had a great turn out from the community. Lots of volunteers from various churches. We served meals to many neighborhood children and truly connected with them. I believe this will be a great ministry and that God will bless our efforts. Our interest is in feeding these kids both physically and spiritually. Please continue to pray for this vital, frontline ministry. We'll do it all again tomorrow evening at 6pm and again on Friday and for as long as God would have us to do this.
Feed a Kid is a joint effort of The Missing Link Street Ministry, The CORE Church of Troy, Troy Look,Inc. and Holy Serenity COGIC. Our interest is in serving Christ our Lord and Savior and making Him known in the heart of the city. Through strategic ministries like Feed a Kid we can address physical needs within the community that will become avenues for the gospel, as we build relationships and show the grace and love of God through our deeds and our words.
